Functional Neurologist, Brain Rehabilitation Specialist
Dr. Ryan Worley, DC, MS
Dr. Ryan Worley’s passion for functional neurology is deeply personal. After experiencing multiple concussions himself, he struggled with lingering symptoms that conventional approaches could not fully resolve. It was through functional neurology and brain-based rehabilitation that he began to understand what was happening in his own nervous system — and how targeted neurological care could help restore function, stability, and quality of life.
That experience shaped the way he practices today.
At Breath & Beyond, Dr. Worley brings a neurological perspective to whole-body health, helping patients understand how the brain, nervous system, breathing, posture, balance, and internal regulation are deeply connected. In an airway-focused practice, this perspective is especially important. A compromised airway does not only affect breathing or sleep; over time, it can influence the nervous system, energy, focus, balance, stress regulation, and overall resilience.
Dr. Worley focuses on understanding why the brain and nervous system may not be functioning the way they should. Rather than chasing symptoms one by one, his approach looks at how different areas of the brain communicate, adapt, and regulate the body. Through detailed testing, he evaluates patterns involving eye movements, balance, coordination, timing, sensory processing, and nervous system regulation to better understand where dysfunction may be occurring.
Patients often come to Dr. Worley with symptoms such as dizziness, balance problems, brain fog, headaches, visual strain, motion sensitivity, fatigue, difficulty focusing, dysautonomia, POTS-related challenges, and lingering effects from concussions or other neurological stressors. While symptoms are important, Dr. Worley believes they are only part of the story. Two people can experience similar symptoms for very different neurological reasons, which is why personalized testing and individualized rehabilitation are central to his care.
Dr. Worley earned his Master’s Degree in Neuroscience from Parker University, where he also received his Bachelor of Science in Anatomy. His clinical work is grounded in neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to change, adapt, and build stronger pathways with the right input.
His goal is to help patients better understand their brain, participate actively in their recovery, and move toward more stable neurological function — supporting Breath & Beyond’s larger mission to restore healthier breathing, deeper sleep, and whole-body wellness.
